New details regarding the MMORPG Tera Online have recently emerged from the mmo community. TERA has its own website now as well as tons of information and forums. We now know it is titled “The Exiled Realm of Arborea”. We have known about TERA online for nearly a year since the game code was supposedly stolen and we even have videos on leetstreams of the revolutionary graphics. Whoa wait revolutionary? Well they certainly are “fresh” let us put it that way. The MMO is considered an AAA MMO. What is that? AAA just means the company has a lot of integrity and is unlikely to make a “flop”.

Funcom is working hard on its next mmorpg, The Secret World. We have been following this game for about eight months and it is slowly progressing into a game of pure darkness and “uniqueness” (if that word even exits). In other words this game is somewhat different from any other mmo we have seen and in describing it “creepy” just doesn’t suffice. However, thanks to a recent Gamespot article, we now have details of the game world with the first ever guided tour of one of the games main cities. Age of Conan’s new expansion “Rise of the Godslayer” is in development and has recently released a teaser trailer for it. This will be the first expansion pack for AOC. Players will have a chance to explore new content at higher levels. There is also a new character race called the Khitan and new content will be introduced for that race after you leave Tortage (the starting zone). The Empire of Khitai will be a new city and is designed and themed around the western side of the Great Wall in China. Other territories include the city of Gun Hai, Shaulun and several others on the north and south side of the main city. Players will experience different cultures, architectures, armaments, weapon styles, and landscapes. Instanced zones are still in use but the new zone is designed so that players feel a more cohesive battlefield instead of zoning all over the place. [click to continue…]

Zipper Interactive and Sony are bringing a heavy dose of FPS action on a large Multiplayer scale to the PS3 console. Taking place in the future around 25 years, MAG aims to create a realistic battlefield where players can emerse themselves in stunning visual conflicts with up to 256 players at a time. That is a lot of players on a console to be coordinating together at a smooth 30 frames per second. This really has not effectively been done before and MAG is trying to push the envelope! The developers are taking the FPS genre to a whole new level. The game will only be available on the PS3. Warhammer Online was awesome-sauce when it first came out…yes it was admit it! Since then it has experienced ups and downs. It still has some kick left in it though and Andy Belford has recently shed some light on the new patch 1.3.4 which is set to go live around the first week of February. The highlight of the patch is that new weapons will be available via RvR using a new vendor system. New weapons will be introduced into this lineup available through scenarios and Open RvR.
